World BEYOND War Launches Action Campaign

Urging U.S. Apology to Korean Victims of the Atomic Bombings

World BEYOND War has launched an action campaign calling on the U.S. government to issue a formal apology to Korean victims of the atomic bombings of Hiroshima and Nagasaki.

The campaign highlights the history of the approximately 70,000 Koreans who were among the victims of the 1945 atomic bombings, many of whom had been forcibly brought to Japan under Japanese colonial rule. It invites people in the United States to send a message to their members of Congress, urging recognition of the suffering of Korean survivors and their descendants and supporting efforts to prevent future nuclear use.
